Our mobile team brings specially tailored, qualified speech pathology support services for your child directly to your home, with programs that are comfortable, effective, and fun for children to learn effective communication skills.
We provide paediatric speech pathology services to families all around Brisbane. Our speech therapists are able to support a wide range of paediatric communication difficulties, including those associated with autism, cerebral palsy, and physical conditions like cleft lips and palates.
Here are some of the specific challenges our speech therapists can help with:
It can be challenging to provide the best care for a child with communication difficulties within environments that they don’t feel comfortable in. Children deserve empathetic and compassionate support services that can ensure that they develop correctly and can be at their full potential, which is why the mobile Paediatric Speech Pathologists at Talk Health Therapy specialise in comfortable, in-home programs that make therapy an enjoyable and rewarding experience.
We conduct a thorough and comprehensive initial assessment to understand the specific needs and challenges of your child’s communication skills, which includes their general abilities, strengths and areas for development, and target areas that need specialised attention.
Following the assessment, we collaborate with you to develop a customised intervention plan that is designed to address your areas of concern effectively, outlining clear goals and strategies to support your progress and development. Your child will be an active participant in this goal setting. We recognise and truly value their autonomy: we know that their involvement is crucial in ensuring they’re motivated and empowered in working towards their goals.
Once the plan is in place, our Speech Pathologists will work together with you and your child to provide ongoing support to ensure you receive the best care and achieve meaningful outcomes. We'll regularly review their progress and adjust the therapy plan as needed.
Our paediatric speech pathologists are dedicated to helping kids reach their full potential.
We choose our allied health professionals for their expertise, warmth, and empathy, helping to ensure that they provide the best quality help for your child.
We’re also invested in ensuring we’ve paired your child with the right speech pathologist: we know that not all clients and providers are the best fit, so if we don’t think that our services match you or your participant’s needs, we’ll help refer you to another amazing provider within our network.
The terms ‘speech pathologist’ and ‘speech therapist’ are often used interchangeably globally./ However, in Australia, we tend to use ‘speech pathologist’ to refer to a qualified professional working in this space.
