Brisbane Paediatric Physiotherapy

From neurological conditions to musculoskeletal and congenital conditions, we’re dedicated to improving your child’s physical mobility and making them feel happier and more independent.

Our Physiotherapists Target Specific Areas to Help Your Child Get Back to Being a Child Again

Gross motor skills are vitally important in allowing your child to interact with other kids and peers of their age. Our Physiotherapists will help build their coordination, balance and other gross motor skills to help them engage in different sports to help them play with other kids.

Physical fitness is vital for kids, as it helps foster healthy habits and improves their overall health and well-being. Gross motor skills (such as balance, proprioception, and agility) can also help them navigate complex environments and build their independence throughout daily life.

Furthermore, physical activity helps with mitigating the harmful effects of sedentary behaviours and fosters healthy play which can reduce the risk of other medical conditions.

We Also Help With:

Play is essential for a child’s development, and our therapists are dedicated to fostering your child’s play skills by promoting social interaction, imaginative play, and problem-solving, helping your child build confidence and develop their gross motor skills.

Our therapists work closely with your child to develop self-regulation skills, including emotional awareness, coping strategies, and problem-solving techniques, fostering resilience and adaptive responses to various situations and challenges.

What You Can Expect From Our Paediatric Services

Detailed Assessment

We conduct an initial assessment to understand the specific needs and challenges of your child’s condition, which includes their general abilities, their physical strengths and weaknesses, and target areas that need specialised attention.

Create A Plan

Following the assessment, we collaborate with you to develop a customised intervention plan designed to address your child's areas of concern effectively, outlining clear goals and strategies to support your child's progress and development.

We Go From There

Once the plan is in place, we'll work together with you and provide ongoing support to ensure your child receives the best care and achieves meaningful outcomes. We'll regularly review your child's progress and adjust the plan as needed.

If you are a self-managed, a plan-managed participant, or a plan nominee who does not have a support coordinator, you can self-refer using our NDIS referral form.

Talk Health Therapy is an NDIS-registered provider and mostly works with participants with NDIS plans. We can also work with private clients depending on their location; be sure to talk to our team to discuss your options and the possibility of travel costs.

One of our team will reach out to you shortly after you have submitted your referral form and discuss your referral details. A home risk assessment form and tool will then be used, and then an initial appointment will be organised.

From there, you’ll meet with one of our qualified and experienced paediatric specialists, who will gather your child’s medical history, perform a physical exam, and discuss any health concerns or questions you may have. They’ll craft a detailed program for your child’s well-being which they will further discuss with you in your role as their parent or carer.
